Nominations for the 2025 Adam Weiler PGR Impact Award are now open. The award recognises postgraduate researchers (PGRs) with the potential to achieve outstanding impact with their work.
Following the continued success of the award in 2024, we are pleased to offer a main prize of £1,000 towards research in four discipline-based categories:
- Media, Arts and Humanities
- Social Sciences, including Business School
- Sciences, including Engineering and Mathematics
- Clinical projects
PGRs must be nominated by their supervisor or School's Director for PGRs, and the prize money must be put towards the recipient's research.
Winners will receive their awards at the University's Sussex Awards ceremony in May, and award recipients will share their work and its impact at a panel session during the Summer of Research in June.
These awards are possible thanks to a generous donation to the University in memory of Adam Weiler, a former student of International Relations at Sussex.
