Digital Memory Database - work in progress drop in
Thursday 20 March 12:30 until 15:00
University of Sussex Campus : Sussex Digital Humanities Lab (opposite SB211) Silverstone Building

The Landecker Digital Memory Lab team have been busy developing their new Digital Memory Database - a platform dedicated to preserving walkthroughs and interviews related to digital Holocaust memory projects around the world. The database will be alpha tested in April with a group of close allies, then beta-tested at a series of public events in the summer, with its official formal launch in January 2026.
In this session, we would love to tap into the wealth of expertise in the Sussex Digital Humanities Lab to show you where we are so far, and let colleagues play on the platform in its current state guided by series of questions related to the following themes:
How we store our data
- How we present and organise our data to users
- How we make our data discoverable
- How users might interact with our data
There will be snacks, because snacks make people happy!
This is a work-in-progress drop-in session, please join us even if only for 30 minutes at some point between 12.30pm and 3pm. We very much appreciate your presence, expertise, feedback, and collegiality.
