Biography

I am a former career civil servant with extensive experience in the cultural and communications sectors negotiating on behalf of the UK Government at the international level: in the EU, the Council of Europe, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and UNESCO.

 

Role

Research Associate specialising in the modern history of the Middle East with a particular focus on Iran, its foreign policy, and its relations with neighbouring countries.

Qualifications

B.A. Upper Second in Modern History from University College London, 1973.

M.Sc. in Political Philosophy from the LSE, 1974

Diploma of the Paris Chamber of Commerce (with 'mention') 1978

Commercial French translator's diploma of the Alliance Francaise, Paris, 1978.

Ph.D. in the history of the British Mandate in Palestine, Sussex University, 2021
