Biography
Lara joined the University of Sussex in August 2013. She was promoted to Senior Lecturer in May 2017.
Before joining Sussex she completed her PhD, LLM(by research) and LLB at the University of Aberdeen. Her PhD is on the recovery of maintenance and child support from abroad. Whilst carrying out her PhD she worked as a research assistant on the project 'Recovery of Maintenance in the European Union and Worldwide' which was funded by the European Commission.
Lara received funding from the Nuffield Foundation to conduct research on Child Abduction within the EU, in collaboration with Professor Beaumont at the University of Aberdeen. The project ran from 1 April 2014 - 31 January 2016.
