Miss Emma Salter
Biography
Emma is undertaking doctoral research into the educational and social outcomes of the children of lone parents in the UK, using a mixed methods approach of discourse analysis and multivariate OLS regression models.
Emma Salter worked as a Research Fellow on the ESRC-funded project "Education and Social Outcomes of Young People: Promoting Success", a collaborative project with colleagues at IAQ in University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany. Emma previously worked as a researcher at the Centre for the Wider Benefits of Learning at the Institute of Education and has worked with children in Women's Aid refuges as well as families living in poverty with ATD Fourth World. She currently works part time as a Bereavement Services Administrator at St Michael's Hospice in Hastings.
Role
Emma is a part time doctoral student based in the School of Education and Social Work at the University of Sussex.
