Research

I am interested in the cerebral mechanisms involved in gaining awareness of position within a mentally constructed three-dimensional space and its relation to surgical performance and dexterity.

• Does this awareness, also known as Spatial Ability, influence the professional future of medical trainees?
• Is this ability a predictor of sound surgical performance?
• Can Spatial Ability be learned and improve through training?

These and many more questions will be addressed in the current project.
