Medical and political sociology, and Science & Technology Studies (STS) applied to multiple issues in biomedicine and medical technology/medical devices:
The politics of regulation of biomedical technologies including cell therapy, tissue engineering and medical devices, especially in the EU, UK, India and China contexts; the intersections of elite sport institiutions, sporting bodies and medical biotechnology; policy for medical and societal risk appraisal and communication on detection of prostate cancer; processes of adoption of medical technologies into healthcare systems, including industry-patient-health system interactions; the shaping of global health and economic policy on bioinformatics, including in the context of personalised medicine/genomics-based drug development.
