Biography

I came to Sussex in 2008, funded by an ESRC 1+3 Studentship. I completed the MSc in Cross-Cultural Research Methods before beginning my DPhil research, which I completed in February 2014.

My undergraduate years (2003-2006) were spent at the School of Development Studies, University of East Anglia, where I was awarded a BA First Class degree with honours, in International Development with Overseas Experience.

Role

I am a recently completed DPhil student in Migration Studies. My Research was entitled "Diaspora and Diversity: an Ethnographic Study of Sierra Leoneans living in South London", and involved 14 months ethnographic fieldwork in Southwark, South London, and 5 months language training in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

Most recently I have been working as an Associate Tutor in the School of Global Studies (Anthropology and Human Geography), as well as working on an academic paper based on my DPhil research findings.
