Biography
Samantha is a Research Fellow in the School of Psychology’s Children and Technology Lab. Her doctoral research concentrated on using shareable technology to investigate the collaborative process in learning disabled children with autism spectrum conditions and in particular autistic children who speak few or no words. Samantha’s doctoral research included iteratively developing and evaluating the Connect application that was designed specifically to support collaboration and social interaction in autistic children. Samantha is presently working on a project to assess Connect as a computer-based social skills intervention for autistic children attending special schools.
