The University of Sussex offers a range of exciting routes into teaching in partnership with schools, colleges and nurseries across the South East. PGCE, School Choice PGCE, School Direct Salaried and Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship courses are available in a range of subjects and phases for a Sept 2025 start:
SECONDARY PHASE: Maths, Secondary Science with Chemistry, Physics or Biology, Computer Science, Business Studies, Computing & Business Studies, English, Art & Design, Geography, History, Modern Foreign Languages, Music, Design Technology, Drama and Psychology.
Tax free bursaries and scholarships of up to £31k available for eligible subjects.
Free online individually tailored online Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) courses are also available prior to training in eligible subjects; Maths, Latin, Chemistry, Physics, Computing, French and Spanish.
We also offer an innovative Early Years Education MA (with or without Early Years Teacher Status) at no cost to Home/Pre-settled or Settled EU students.
