Cerebral Blood Flow (CBF) is a vital physiological component of brain function and metabolism. Arterial Spin Labeling (ASL) MRI offers a unique way to measure CBF directly, providing valuable insights for clinical diagnosis and treatment evaluation. ASL can track changes in brain function over time, making it superior to traditional fMRI. In this talk, Dr Iris Asllani will discuss the principles of ASL and its applications in Alzheimer's Disease, Stroke, and other conditions, including normal aging. Dr Iris Asllani will also explore how ASL can be combined with other MRI and non-MRI techniques to map the brain's oxygen consumption under various circumstances.
