Text resizing

Text sizing assumes you are using a modern browser which allows you to increase font size using the keyboard controls as follows:

PC / all browsers (including Internet Explorer 7 and above):

To increase text size hold down the CTRL key and press +

To decrease text size hold down the CTRL key and press -

To return to the default text size hold down the CTRL key and press 0 (zero)

Mac / all browsers:

To increase text size hold down the Command key and press +

To decrease text size hold down the Command key and press -

To return to the default text size hold down the Command key and press 0 (zero)

 

Access keys

These are standard keyboard shortcuts which allow users, in particular those with impaired vision, to access important site information quickly and easily.

As a general rule these can be accessed as follows;

PC: hold down Alt and press the relevant access key described below.
Mac: hold down Ctrl + Alt and press the relevant access key described below.

  • S = Skip navigation and jump to the main content
  • 1 = Home
  • 6 = Contact us
  • 8 = Website terms and conditions of use
  • 0 = Accessibility statement (this page)

 

Alternative text for images

All inline images have alternative text explaining what the image is as you hover your mouse over it. Where images contain complex information or contain a significant amount of text we have provided a text only version.

Where text links may not make sense when read out of context we have added a title to explain where the link goes.
