Students’ Union
The University of Sussex Students’ Union provides networking opportunities through its clubs and societies, and also offers advice and support on academic issues. The team includes a full-time Postgraduate Education Officer, who is there to represent the interests of Masters and PGR students. You can find out more here.
The Network - Postgraduate Hangouts
Postgrad Hangouts - a new community for all postgraduates and mature students (research and taught) here at Sussex. The network seek to develop an active and vibrant community of postgraduate/mature students by providing a safe informal space to network and connect with other postgraduates

Buddy Scheme
The Sussex Buddy Scheme is not just for undergraduates. By signing up to be part of the Buddy Scheme you will be put in contact with a current postgraduate mentor to help alleviate any initial worries or fears you may have and generally helping you to settle into life at Sussex.
Being a member of the Buddy Scheme has lots of benefits, it will help you to meet new people, make new friends and try something new with thier trips, activities and events.

Language Café
You might also be interested in the Students’ Union Language Cafe, which meets weekly during term time to provide a social space for language learners to practise their chosen language, meet other researchers and exchange cultural information. Whether you’re fluent or a beginner, everyone is welcome.
