Interdisciplinary Speed Mentoring
Speed mentoring gives postgraduate researchers (PGRs) the opportunity for a series of brief, focused conversations with early career researchers (ECRs) at Sussex, to gain insight and new perspectives on a career goal or challenge.
This event may return for Summer of Research 2025. Check for updates in early Spring.
The inaugural speed mentoring session ran as part of SussexDocFest on Wednesday 5 June 2024.
We are bringing together ECRs from across the University for a special speed mentoring session, to offer less experienced PGR colleagues their support and advice on various elements of career and professional development.
How does it work?
This event will be held online. During the session, PGR mentees will rotate around four different ECR mentors, spending 15 minutes with each, to gain different perspectives on a personal professional goal they are seeking to achieve.
Places are limited and will be distributed between disiplines; please note that registering does not guarantee a place, but we will operate a waiting list if needed. If selected, you will be emailed an invitation with joining instructions in advance of the event.
Visit the following webpages for more information and to sign up as a mentee or mentor.
If you are an ECR and looking to become a mentee, please visit the mentoring webpage to find out more.
