Trans and Non-Binary Staff Network
The Trans and Non-Binary Staff Network is a confidential and a fully inclusive group, open to all members of staff or postgraduates who identify as Trans or Non-Binary. It meets occasionally to discuss and review policy development, as well as organising different events throughout the year.
If you would like to join the network or would like further information you can contact the network by emailing the mailing list transnonbinarystaff@sussex.ac.uk. The mailing list is monitored and – to ensure confidentially – is accessed only by the Chair of the network.
Trans and Non-Binary Staff Network Statement for Friends and Allies
To mark International Non-Binary People’s Day 2022 the Trans and Non-Binary Staff Network have published a statement for friends and allies to understand the everyday experiences of Trans and Non-Binary people and how you can support them: TNB Staff Network Ally Statement - July 2022
As a University we are committed to advancing equality, diversity and inclusion and to upholding everyone’s right to freedom of speech within the law. Whilst the statement does not constitute a policy position on behalf of the University, we support promoting greater understanding of diverse views and lived experiences. We are committed to supporting and including our Trans and Non-Binary community and challenging transphobia, and are pleased to be able to publish a perspective from our Trans and Non-Binary Staff Network for International Non-Binary People’s Day, 14 July.
