Doctoral research featured in Times Higher Education (THE)
Congratulations to School of Education and Social Work doctoral researcher Jessica Gagnon, whose research into the experiences of children of single parents in higher education was recently featured in a Times Higher Education (THE) article.
Jessica's research has indicated that the children of single parents are marginalised and must overcome expectations of failure in order to succeed in higher education. Read the full THE article.
Having recently completed her doctorate, Jessica has also secured a position at the University of Portsmouth as a Research Fellow in Higher Education, which she starts in July.
