JNU, New Delhi, 30 - 31 August 2013
The second meeting of the international network "Collaborative research on the meteorological and botanical history of the Indian Ocean, 1600-1900" was held in JNU, Delhi on the 30th and 31st of August. This was followed by a field trip to the Forest Research Institute in Dehradhun on the 1st and 2nd of September. The purpose of the network is the bring together academics, librarians and archivists working on the environmental history of the Indian Ocean with a view to generating new collaborative research and the identification and preservation of archival materials. The network is run through the Centre for World Environmental History at University of Sussex, UK.
