Lorraine's Dphil: Telling People's Histories: an exploration of community history making from 1970-2000 (ESRC funded) looks at the development of community history groups and their purpose / relevance in challenging ideas about whose histories should be told and by whom, and defining new ways of making histories. Other research interests include methodological issues in collaborative oral history and oral history relationships.
