The national Postgraduate Research Experience Survey opens today
Posted on behalf of: Sussex Researcher School
Last updated: Monday, 24 March 2025
From today (Monday 24 March), eligible postgraduate researchers (PGRs) will be invited to take part in the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES). This is a national survey that will run at Sussex until Friday 2 May.
This survey asks PGRs undertaking a research degree (for example, a PhD or an MPhil) about their learning and teaching experiences so far.
Why take part?
We are always looking to make your time as PGRs at Sussex the best it can be. Your responses to the PRES are an important opportunity for you to help us to shape the future development of PGR provision and support.
As a thank you, PGRs who take part in the survey will be able to opt into a prize draw to win one of five cash prizes worth £150. The prize draw will run until Friday 2 May.
Who runs the survey?
The PRES is run by AdvanceHE through the JISC Online Surveys platform.
How does the survey work?
You will receive an email from Jisc Online Surveys with the link when the survey launches, plus reminders during the survey period.
If you access the survey via a web or social media link like the one above, you will need your respondent ID (your Sussex email, eg. abc123@susse.ac.uk) and password (your Registration number at the bottom of your student card and on Sussex Direct).
