Surveys of postgraduate taught students and postgraduate researchers open 24 March

From Monday 24 March, postgraduate taught students on Masters level programmes will be invited to take part in the Postgraduate Taught Experience Survey (PTES), which will run until Friday 13 June 2025.
On the same day, postgraduate researchers (PGRs) will be invited to complete the Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES). PRES will run until Sunday 2 May 2025.
PTES and PRES are important feedback mechanisms for our postgraduate communities. Insights from the results will help us make the postgraduate experience at Sussex the best it can be and forms part of the evidence base that supports Student Experience and Outcome Plans (SEOPs).
These are also the only national surveys of postgraduates, so their results help build an understanding of experiences across the country too.
It is important that as many students as possible provide their feedback for the survey to generate statistically relevant information. Please encourage your postgraduate taught students and PGRs to share their views – it should only take around 15 minutes.
Eligible participants will receive an email invitation from Jisc Online Surveys with a link to complete the relevant survey, as well as reminders from the University.
All eligible postgraduate taught students who complete the PTES by Friday 13 June will be able to opt in to a prize draw to win one of five graduation packages worth £150.
PGRs who take part in PRES by 2 May will be able to opt into a prize draw to win one of five cash prizes worth £150.
A selection of promotional resources can be found on Box (you will need your Sussex log in to access these). Thanks in advance for your support.
You can find more information about PTES on the Student Hub or Academic Quality and Partnerships pages, and information about PRES on the Sussex Research School pages.
