Ms Paola Bergamaschi-Broyd from WCIB presented Hamish Massie with the Lombard Prize (Livery of International Bankers - WCIB) for the best research thesis.
The Worshipful Company of International Bankers is one of the livery companies of the City of London. Its members are current or former members of the financial services industry, primarily banking. The Company currently has over 700 members, drawn from over 250 institutions and with 43 nationalities represented. The Company maintains relationships with 17 Business Schools/ Universities where it provides prizes and opportunities for interaction. There are two levels of awards, one at our School level and the second at the national level. The winner of the WCIB Prize competition at our business school receives a certificate of merit from the Company and a cheque for £300. At the WCIB Annual Banquet at the Guildhall (usually at the end of February) the winner of the Lombard Prize competition will be formally presented with a certificate of merit, a £1500 cheque and a silver salver by the Master of the Company. The winner is also given free Membership of the Company for a year.
