Impossible Until It's Done: A Celebration of Sussex Research
Wednesday 12 June 18:00 until 20:30
UK : One Birdcage Walk, 1 Birdcage Walk, London, SW1H 9JJ
Join us for an inspiring evening event showcasing how Sussex is helping to shape the world around us and working towards a better future for all.
Hosted by the Vice-Chancellor and President, Prof. Sasha Roseneil, the event will include short 'Ted-Style' talks from some of our most inspiring academics taking on global research challenges.
At Sussex, our goal is to carry out research that drives progress and makes an important contribution to the planet and its people. We support a diverse and multidisciplinary research environment where researchers can truly believe a challenge is only impossible until it’s done.
We are thrilled to announce our guest speakers:
- Prof. Alice Eldridge (Soundscapes) – School of Media, Arts and Humanities
- Prof. Mari Martiskainen (Energy transitions) – University of Sussex Business School
- Prof. Thomas Nowotny (Artificial intelligence) – School of Engineering and Informatics
- Prof. Paul Statham (Migration research) – School of Global Studies
The talks will be followed by celebratory drinks and a canapé reception.
