Lukas Gunthermann

Background

Lukas Gunthermann started his PhD in November 2019 in the Wearable Technologies Lab at the University of Sussex.

He has an MSc in Intelligent and Adaptive Systems from the University of Sussex (2020) and an MSc in User Experience Design from the University of Brighton (2018). The focus during his studies were the application of evolutionary algorithms and neuroevolution in optimisation problems. His master’s project explored the potential of coevolutionary methods in stabilising the training of generative adversarial networks.

His PhD research is concerned with deep learning, generative models, and smart annotation systems in the scope of human activity recognition.
