CAMNet

CAMNet is the international network to study children and adolescent mental health

The CAMNet was founded by Dr Darya Gaysina (University of Sussex) and Dr Elena Sabirova (Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University) in 2018, with the support of the GCRF Networking grant from the Academy of Medical Sciences:

-          The CAMNet brings together more than 20 researchers from several countries, including the UK, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Malawi, South Africa, and Russia

-         We conducted a pilot data collection on adolescent mental health in secondary schools in Kyrgyzstan, with 700+ participants

-         We regularly organise research events to facilitate knowledge exchange and partnership development between the CAMNet members, including symposia at the International or European Congresses of Psychology in 2019, 2021, 2022, and 2023 (upcoming)

-          We run the international networking research meeting in Kyrgyzstan  ‘Mental health and wellbeing of adolescents in Central Asia’ (Aurora Resort Hotel, Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan, July 12-16, 2019)

-          We run the international networking research meeting in Uzbekistan ‘Mental health and wellbeing of adolescents in Central Asia: from research to practice’ (Bukhara State University, Uzbekistan, October 23-26, 2019)
