Research

My research interests focus on the media representation and dehumanization of refugee women and children, exploring how these portrayals influence public perception and social policies. I have examined the Homo Sacer concept in relation to Syrian refugees during my PhD and have also worked on the intersections of elections and refugee issues. Additionally, I have been involved in an international project on the job integration of immigrants in Türkiye. I also explore the role of social integration activities in reducing xenophobia. My work spans media studies, migration, human rights, and gender.
