For description purposes, we have divided the research in our laboratory into the following areas:

• DNA double strand break repair - this includes diagnosis of defective patients, an analysis of the basic repair processes, the impact of chromatin structure and damage response signalling.
• DNA damage response signalling and checkpoint arrest.
• Microcephalic primordial dwarfism.
