Biography

M.Phil. (Sussex) 1984

D.Phil. (Sussex) 1995.

Teaching and research technician from 1976 to 2003.

Associate tutor with CCE from 1995 to 2011 teaching Ornithology & Ecology.

Associate Tutor for Biochemistry from 2006 to 2010.

Technical services co-ordinator with Biology and Environmental Sciences in the School of Life Sciences from 2003 to 2015.

South Downs Forum - University of Sussex Representative 2000 - 2005.

UK Controled Environment Users Group - University of Sussex Representative 2003 onwards.

Energy and Environment Representative for Life Sciences 2000 - 2015.

Semi-retired Associate of Life Sciences June 2015 to present.

 

Role

I am now a semi-retired Associate. Occasionally tutoring students in ornithology, conservation and ecology, and demonstrating techniques to students.  Occasional lecturing.  I am currently engaged in scientific writing and a bit of ecological research.
