LinkedIn Learning is an online learning platform that students and staff at Sussex can access at their leisure for free. With over 16,000 expert led courses to choose from, covering subjects ranging from IT, business and management to creative subjects and mental wellbeing, each course is broken down into sections making it easy to stop and start at a time that suits you. You can also connect your personal LinkedIn profile to provide additional benefits, such as publishing completed course certificates and receiving recommendations based on your information.
Log in using your Sussex email address - e.g. ano123@sussex.ac.uk
After you have completed the initial setup, you'll be asked for a username and password each time you log in to LinkedIn Learning.
If you see an option to use SSO (Single Sign On) then select this. This will ask for your University login details, just like Canvas, Office or Box.
If you've chosen to link your LinkedIn Learning account to your personal LinkedIn account, you will be asked for your personal LinkedIn login details when you try to access LinkedIn Learning.
Curators can easily create, share and understand the impact of your learning programmes. By creating learning paths, Curators can combine their own content with LinkedIn Learning content, making this role ideal for staff who have a focus on the teaching or developement of others. Here is a short video on the role of the curator.
If you're bored of scrolling social media and want to learn whilst on the go, download the LinkedIn Learning app from your Apple App or Google Play store. (Make sure you select LinkedIn Learning and not just LinkedIn)
You can store videos offline so you can build new skills even when you're not connected to the internet.
