Global Studies has an excellent record in achieving impact from our research, reflecting our wider impact strategy.
This is important for exercises such as the REF, which is central to the objectives of the School. Within the School, Carol Anderson (C.S.Anderson@sussex.ac.uk), Assistant Research Manager, and our Research Impact Lead (and Head of Geography), David Ockwell (D.O.Ockwell@sussex.ac.uk) can give guidance. Do get in touch with either of them if you are interested in increasing the impact of your research.
The Global Studies Impact Advisory Board comprises independent experts from the worlds of government, NGOs and business, many of who are alumni of Global Studies. Let Fergal know if you would like to involve them in helping you think about impact. Fergal can also help you with developing research and policy briefings and external engagement, for example connecting with Parliament or submitting evidence to Select Committees.
