Quels sont les objectifs des Enterprise Hubs d'East Sussex et de Brighton & Hove ?
Enterprise Hub vise principalement à :
o promouvoir l'esprit d'entreprise et la formation ;
o créer un portail d'entreprises ;
o favoriser la recherche appliquée et les liens avec les universités ;
o développer les réseaux d'entreprises, les équipements et les capacités d'accueil des incubateurs ;
o accroître la pertinence et la qualité des services aux PME ;
o renforcer l'insertion sociale.

What are the aims of the Enterprise Hub in East Sussex and Brighton & Hove?
The main priorities are to:
o Raise entrepreneurial awareness and training;
o Create an Enterprise Portal;
o Increase business focused research and links to universities;
o Expand business networks and the provision of business incubation facilities and stage 2 accommodation;
o Increase the appropriateness and quality of business services to SMEs;
o Enhance social inclusion.

Quelle est la structure de ces Enterprise Hubs ?
Ces Hubs sont caractérisés par un "réseau virtuel" développé par le biais de theplacetobe.net qui joue le rôle de portail et d'interface avec les services aux entreprises. Parallèlement, un "réseau humain" sera mis en place au sein duquel seront organisés, en collaboration avec Wired Sussex (voir Bulletin 2), des rencontres et des "séminaires pédagogiques" sur un ensemble de thèmes. Sussex Innovation Centre (voir Bulletin 4) et Brighton Media Centre (voir Bulletin 3) seront fortement impliqués dans la mise à disposition de bureaux et l'accueil des entreprises dans l'incubateur. Les Hubs bénéficieront également de relations avec 2 universités et des lycées professionnels, permettant ainsi de renforcer les liens entre l'enseignement et les entreprises.

What is the structure of these Enterprise Hubs?
A feature specific to the Hubs is that there will be a "virtual network", delivered through theplacetobe.net acting as a portal and signpost to supporting services. Alongside this there will be a "human network" where networking events and "How to Seminars" on a range of topics will be organised in co-operation with Wired Sussex (see Bulletin 2). Sussex Innovation Centre (see Bulletin 4) and Brithgon Media Centre (see Bulletin 3) will be closely involved through their provision of business incubator units and second stage accommodation. The Hubs benefit from having links to 2 universities and further education colleges where closer links can be forged between education and the business community

Quel type d'entreprises ciblent les Enterprise Hubs ?
Ils visent les nouvelles entreprises et les plus anciennes. Etant donné le tissu économique de la région, un grand nombre d'entreprises de pointe (NTIC-multimédia, haute technologie) devraient intégrer les Hubs. La 1ère année, nous ciblons 75 starts-up pour passer à 155 la 3ème année.

What companies do the Enterprise Hubs target?
The Hubs will target both new and established entrepreneurs. Given the growth profiles across the area there is likely to be a high number of 'knowledge based' industries involved - ICT, digital media and high technology businesses. In the first year, we aim to have 75 start-up beneficiaries, expanding to 155 in its third year.

How will they be self-financed after the initial 3 years?
It is hoped that with the success of the Enterprise Hubs, the public sector, universities and businesses will contribute towards ongoing funding. We also see INTERREG III has key to developing this initiative, not only in terms of future funding, but also with regard to helping French and English companies develop their international markets.
