Sussex has been presented with a Green Flag Award for its beautiful Falmer campus, marking eight times in a row the University has won this award.
Managed by the Estates Grounds team, working with the University Sustainability team and other groups on campus, Falmer campus has received the international quality mark for parks and green spaces, a testament to the hard work and dedication of the teams at Sussex that maintain our biodiverse campus while also meeting the needs of staff, students and visitors.
The Green Flag Award scheme, managed by environmental charity Keep Britain Tidy under licence from the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government, recognises and rewards well-managed parks and green spaces, setting the benchmark standard for the management of green spaces across the United Kingdom and around the world.
