Friday 23 May 19:30 until 21:00
University of Sussex Campus : Meeting House Chaplaincy, University of Sussex
Speaker: Bleue Liverpool and Ibukun Sunday
Part of the series: Festival of Ideas 2025

The intermedia artist and Stuart Hall Foundation Fellow Bleue Liverpool in collaboration with the Musician/Sound artist Ibukun Sunday will produce an audio-visual intervention set within the beautiful University Meeting House chapel. The visual soundscape will draw inspiration from the metaphysical abstractions of University alumnus Paul Gilroy and through exploration of the marginalised narratives and landscapes of West Sussex & East Sussex coastline port culture. Working together in improvisational tandem, Liverpool and Sunday will orchestrate an expanded live cinema environment that sonically and visually questions the socioethnographic artifacts of movement.
