We’re excited to announce that all Sussex staff and students now have exclusive access to a secure web version of Microsoft Copilot, accessible via your Sussex account. This unique access ensures your data remains protected while you explore the capabilities of Copilot (unlike other web accessible tools)
Access Copilot: Use your university account to sign in at https://copilot.microsoft.com/
Example: (grp225@sussex.ac.uk)
Please note that if you log in with personal email or other non-University credentials then your data and information is not protected. It is worth double checking that you are logged in securely.
You can tell that you are logged into the data protected version of Copilot by looking at the right-hand corner of the screen where you will see your university email and a green protected symbol.
What is Copilot?
Copilot is an advanced generative AI chatbot designed to answer your queries in plain English. It can generate images, provide answers, and create other content. For more details on its uses and limitations, please visit our generative AI page.
Learn and Grow with AI
This summer, the Educational Enhancement team will introduce a self-study course on Canvas, focusing on the use of AI tools within teaching and learning at Sussex. We believe in hands-on learning, so we’re also organising in-person workshops throughout late summer and early autumn. These workshops offer a fantastic opportunity to delve into the practical applications of AI in education.
Join us in embracing the future of learning with AI!
