We are excited to invite you to our second Sussex AI Day on Monday 20th January 2025.
This will be an internally focused whole day event, where we share and celebrate the exciting Data Science and Artificial Intelligence related research that is being conducted across the University.
AI Day wouldn’t be possible without your presence and active participation.

We are excited to announce our keynote speaker is Professor Marc Deisenroth. Professor Marc Deisenroth is Director of Science & Innovation (Environment and Sustainability) at The Alan Turing Institute. He is the Google DeepMind Chair of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence at University College London, and member of the UNESCO Chair of Artificial Intelligence at UCL. He also holds a visiting faculty position at the University of Johannesburg. Marc co-leads the Sustainability and Machine Learning Group at UCL. His research interests center around data-efficient machine learning, probabilistic modeling and autonomous decision making with applications in climate/weather science, nuclear fusion, and robotics.
