Unlock a Deeper Understanding of Autism: Free Online Course for University of Sussex Staff

As we approach World Autism Acceptance Month in April, the University of Sussex is encouraging staff to take advantage of a fantastic opportunity to deepen their understanding of autism. A free online course, Understanding Autism (Level 2), is available to all staff through East Sussex College Group.

Autism affects how people perceive the world and interact with others. As a university committed to inclusivity and accessibility, it’s crucial for staff—whether in teaching, administration, or support roles—to develop greater awareness of autism and how to create an accommodating and supportive environment for both students and colleagues.

You will be also asked to complete a short questionnaire, including a simple maths and English assessment, to enable you to gain access to the free course.
