Events programme
Dawn Chorus Day Ecosocial Breakfast Walk
Following the sell out success of Bird Bath events in 2024, we invite you to join us on International Dawn Chorus Day for an early morning sound walk through Stanmer Park and an ecosocial breakfast at the Ecomusicology plot. Brighton is at the heart of the UKs only urban UNESCO biosphere - an international designation that invites experimentation with ways to enhance the relationships between people and our environments. We believe that the simple act of listening together, outside can reinvigorate our sense of awe, respect for, and belonging to the wider communities of life. We invite you to gather, walk, listen, share food and reflect on how to live well, together.
Part of the University of Sussex Festival of Ideas. A collaboration between Sussex Digital Humanities Lab Ecolistening group, Hospitable Environment CIC, Ecomusicology Project and the Living Coast UNESCO Biosphere, in alliance with REVEIL and the Wild House project. Meet at Stanmer playground (w3w ///member.guitar.hails). Wear sensible shoes.
