GORE Halloween Special: A Page of Madness
Friday 3 November 17:00 until 21:00
University of Sussex Campus : SB302
Speaker: Gabriel Larenas
Part of the series: Gore Creative Writing Workshop
On November 3rd we continue our queer horror writing workshop series with a screening and discussion of Teinosuke Kinusaga’s 1926 experimental silent horror film A Page of Madness. We're looking for participants to write in response to the film and read as part of a live verbal soundtrack to our screening, as well as audience members.
Attendance is free but places are limited. If you’d like to attend please book your place on Eventbrite here and we’ll send you more details and a link to watch the film in advance. If you don't have time to write something in advance don't worry - you can still come along to watch, listen and discuss.
Don’t worry about your level of writing experience: this is a friendly and supportive workshop open to all.
If you can’t attend this session but are interested in what we do please email allisfullofgore@gmail.com for updates.
Hosted by Gabriel Larenas

About GORE:
Organised by Tom Bamford-Blake and Gabriel Larenas Rosa, GORE is an international and mostly online queer writing workshop responding critically and creatively to horror cinema. The workshop has run since November 2022 and has included conversation with Midsommar choreographer Anna Vnuk and a conference appearance at Plymouth University. A zine compiling writings from the workshop was launched at the Placeholder reading series in summer 2022. If you’d like to attend future workshops or just find out more, please email allisfullofgore@gmail.com.
