Rita Pemberton's previous roles include former Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of History at UWI, St. Augustine, Deputy Dean of Student Affairs in the Faculty of Humanities and Education; Chief Examiner CSEC Caribbean History and past president of the Association of Caribbean History. She is the recipient of Bishop’s High School Outstanding Alumnae Award 2008, and her current research is on the history and development of Tobago. Her publications include:
