If you’ve ever thought you would like to work in a green job, but aren’t studying the ‘right degree’, then our Green Futures 2025 event is perfect for you. This exciting event is a great opportunity for you to learn about the green jobs market (what are ‘green’ jobs and where can you find them) while building your confidence in the value you can bring, whatever your skill set, experience, and academic discipline.
The University of Sussex brings you this exciting event that will provide you with:
- A better understanding of what a ‘green’ graduate job is and where to find one.
- Increased confidence and understanding of the value you can bring, whatever your skillset, experience, or academic discipline.
- An opportunity to gain real-world experience for your CV – on the day students will work on a mini sustainability challenge.
You will hear talks from:
- A range of employers, representing job market areas where there is green job growth (for graduates from a range of disciplines). Green Futures is your chance to hear from a diverse set of speakers, including Rampion Energy, Knepp Wildland Foundation, Edwards, and AECOM.
- Recent Sussex graduates who are now working in green jobs.
Refreshments will be provided.
Places are limited and will be allocated based on:
⦁Why you would like to take part.
⦁The number of students from each academic school (we aim to have a good discipline mix).
Find out more and apply for a place with the Green Futures 2025 application form.
Applications close on Wednesday 26 March, 11.59pm.
Attending this event will help you gain points towards your Spirit of Sussex Award.
