University of Sussex alumni reception in Georgetown, Washington DC
We are excited to be travelling to the United States in May and would love to welcome you to a very special Sussex alumni reception in Georgetown, Washington DC on 20 May 2025.
The event will be hosted by the University’s Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Sasha Roseneil, and Dr Spiros Dimolitsas, Senior Vice President for Research & Chief Technical Officer, Georgetown University and Board Member of the Friends of the University of Sussex.
Join University of Sussex experts in international trade and members of the UK Trade Policy Observatory (UKTPO), who will be in conversation discussing whether the multilateral trading system is all but dead and the challenges and opportunities for the US-UK trade relationship.
Speakers:
- Emily Lydgate, Professor of Environmental Law, Co-Director of the UK Trade Policy Observatory and Deputy Director of the Centre for Inclusive Trade Policy.
- Michael Gasiorek, Professor of Economics, Co-Director of the UK Trade Policy Observatory, and the Centre for Inclusive Trade Policy.
The event will be followed by an informal networking reception, which will be an excellent opportunity to meet with fellow Sussex alumni and make new connections, as well as to meet University staff and hear about the latest developments and news from Sussex.
We do hope that you will be able to join us and look forward to welcoming you.
