Are you ready to make Sussex greener and more sustainable?  

We're thrilled to announce the launch of Green Impact's second year! As part of our ongoing commitment to sustainability, we’re inviting staff from every corner of Sussex - Schools, divisions, departments, and buildings - to jump into this exciting initiative.  

Green Impact is here to empower and support you in bringing sustainable practices to life at the University of Sussex. Our bespoke toolkit is your go-to guide for achieving economic, environmental, and social sustainability. 

Join the Fun and make an Impact!  

Year 2 of Green Impact is here, and we want you to be part of it! By participating, you’ll not only contribute to a more sustainable Sussex, but you’ll also have the chance to earn your team a gold, silver, or bronze Green Impact award.  

Working together with your colleagues, you'll dive into sustainability, take on new challenges outside your usual role, and develop awesome new skills.

“Green Impact is a fantastic initiative to be involved in, not only for the contribution you can make to environmental sustainability, but also as a way to connect with colleagues and increase personal wellbeing. Taking part in 2023/24 led me to develop stronger relationships with colleagues in other teams that I had not really interacted with before, and the steps we took to achieve green impact points together have made our office space feel more welcoming. We have held crafting lunch sessions to relax, walking meetings to get outside and added a book swap station to our kitchen which filled up fast with some really great reads!” 

Every action you take with Green Impact aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) and our own Sustainable Sussex Strategy. Your efforts make a difference both globally and locally.
