Transgender Day of Remembrance 2024
Posted on behalf of: EDI Unit
Last updated: Wednesday, 13 November 2024
Transgender Day of Remembrance will take place this year on Wednesday, 20 November 2024. This annual observance honours the memory of transgender people whose lives were tragically lost due to anti-transgender violence.
The week leading up to Transgender Day of Remembrance, Trans Awareness Week, provides an opportunity to increase visibility around the issues affecting the trans community, share stories, and raise awareness of support services available for trans, non-binary, and intersex people.
At Sussex, we will mark these important occasions by flying the Trans flag over Sussex House.
