Mumbai Mix are coming to Sussex campus! On Friday 18 November the very talented Mohini and her two daughters, Dimple and Deshna, will be serving up authentic Indian street food from the comfort of our quaint Dhaba Café.
This is a full-on café takeover. Starting at 9am, the trio will be serving up traditional Indian porridge and masala chai, the perfect way to begin the day.
When lunch time comes around you can expect their Thali in a box to be piled high with different curries, rice and small bits. If you want something a little smaller, they’ll also be serving up the most popular street food of India, potato chaat.
Full menu:
Breakfast:
Indian Breakfast Porridge and Spiced Pau
Indian breakfast porridge is thick, creamy and mildly sweet. It’s an integral part of Indian breakfasts from Kashmir to South India. This is served with a coriander chutney and a homemade spiced bread bun.
Vegan Masala Chai
This uniquely-flavored masala chai is vegan and gluten free. Made with organic masala spices, cardamom, cloves, ginger and cinnamon in a delicious blend of black tea.
Lunch:
Thali in a Box
Vegan thali is an authentic Indian meal consisting of several small dishes. We created a vegan version with the same mouth-watering flavors of chickpeas and curried vegetables. It’s the ultimate mix of spices and textures that we think you’ll love.
Spiced Potato Chaat
The perfect spicy lunchtime snack. Spiced potatoes and pea patties served with a soft but crispy chaat base, topped off with a fresh red romano pepper and tamarind and date chutney.
Snacks:
Vegetable Samosa
Crispy Potato Bhajia
