Complete the staff survey and share your Sussex experience

Last updated: Friday, 8 October 2021
So far, 21% of staff have filled in the staff survey and shared their experience of working here at Sussex.
It's vital that you have your say about working here. The information you provide supports the University’s equalities work and allows us to compare staff perspectives against those shared in January this year.
Kevin Hylton, interim Pro Vice-Chancellor of Culture, Equality and Inclusion, said: “It's great to see that staff are taking the time to complete the staff survey. Data from staff surveys is vital. It puts evidence behind the targets we propose in our action plans so we can improve conditions for all of our staff.
“We can focus our efforts where barriers persist, or where responses show people are having a negative experience. There are specific questions on bullying and harassment. We responded to previous surveys with the Report and Support tool - a fantastic development for staff and students at Sussex.”
The online survey - which is open until Tuesday 19 October 2021 - is run by a third-party provider, People Insight, who will manage responses in confidence and ensure they can’t be made attributable to an individual.
You should have received a link by email from People Insight which is unique to you. If you haven’t, please check your ‘junk email’ folder, or request a new email by contacting: admin@peopleinsight.co.uk.
Please take the time to share your views and experience of working at the University so that we can respond and bring about positive change here at Sussex. The survey should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
We are now holding two shorter pulse surveys a year, providing us with the opportunity to find out what matters most to you and to give you the chance to say what you think could be done differently or better.
