The team completed their first 100 face shields in the early hours of this morning in the 3-D prototyping lab in the Richmond Building at the University of Sussex. Left-to-right are Daniel Payne, Harri Koivisto and Dr Tan Sharma.
A new hub has been launched on the website featuring information about the University's coordinated community response to Covid-19 and highlighting stories of those contributing to efforts to combat the pandemic.
From innovative research and expert comment to the production of PPE, there is a wide range of activities being carried out by both students and staff - and the web pages aim to bring this information together.
The University established a Covid-19 Taskforce in order to coordinate our response and consider requests for support from the local community. Chaired by Professor Malcolm Reed, Dean of Brighton and Sussex Medical School, the Taskforce includes representatives from across the University. Information about the work of the Taskforce can be found on the new webpages.
We are extremely proud of everyone in our community who is contributing in ways both big and small to the challenges presented by the pandemic. If you would like to share your story, please email community@sussex.ac.uk.
