Meet Liz De Cort, who has joined the University within the Commercial Services team as Senior Catering Services Manager.
Liz will work collaboratively with all our catering providers in the future to ensure our catering colleagues’ offering aligns with both their contractual obligations and the needs of our community. Part of her remit will be to carry out regular reviews to ensure key milestones are met, particularly around sustainability and student and staff experience, along with agreed targets on cost, value, agility, innovation and service standards.
Highlights of our new catering contract include a £25,000 Student Innovation Fund to be spent to enhance the catering offering on campus each year.
Liz will be working to introduce fresh ways to gather feedback from the community and will also work closely with the University of Sussex Students’ Union (USSU) and the team at IDS Bar & Kitchen to bring together all our food providers on campus.
And she will oversee the new £25,000 Sustainability Fund that will be spent in agreement with the University each year to help drive a more sustainable service at each outlet and reduce the carbon impact of the service across the campus as a whole.
