Experiment with Light Meditation

Quaker theologian Rex Ambler was interested to know what Quakers actually did when they met for silent worship in the beginning of the movement in the seventeenth century. From a careful reading of early Quaker writings, Rex devised a step-by-step process called “Experiment with Light” that encapsulates these early Quaker practices.

In these guided meditations we will follow various versions of the meditation part of the process to connect with the deepest part of ourselves that is essentially good. Whatever is on your mind you can seek guidance from this ‘Inward Light’ to help illuminate your situation, with no need to disclose this to others.
