Menopause Events and Training
By: Organisational Development
Last updated: Wednesday, 14 February 2024
At Sussex, we want to encourage menopause conversations and make sure colleagues get the help and support they need in a safe, confidential and supportive environment. Several events have been scheduled to help ensure all staff are able to thrive through the Menopause.
Menopause Cafés
Menopause Cafés in the workplace help to raise awareness about the menopause and reduce the stigma and isolation that people going through the menopause transition can feel. Everyone is welcome and we encourage all genders to come along, even if you are not experiencing symptoms yourself.
- 16 April April from 12.00 pm to 1.00 pm in the Meeting House. Book via Eventbrite so we have an idea of expected numbers.
Menopause Awareness for Managers
With a growing number of people going through the menopause transition experiencing symptoms so severe that they leave the workplace, all managers should understand the impact that symptoms can have and know how to support their colleagues. We strongly encourage managers of all ages and genders to attend this training.
- Wednesday 21 February from 1.00 pm to 2.30 pm in the Meeting House. Book your space via Eventbrite
- Wednesday 5 June from 11.30 am to 1.00 pm in the Meeting House. Book your space via Eventbrite.
In conversation with Dr Hum, Menopause Specialist GP
We are thrilled to welcome Dr Hum back to talk at Sussex. Dr Hum believes in holistic care, which looks at not only the physical, but also the psychological ways in which symptoms can affect you.
