A collection of printed items relating to the First and Second World Wars.
World War One is represented in 6 boxes of cartoons and satirical pamphlets published at the time.
The majority of the collection copmrises magazine and pamphlet runs from World War Two, published in Germany, France and other parts of Europe. Also included are reviews of foreign press during this period.
The collection provides a valuable insight into contemporary news reporting from opposing countries.

Access
These journals are available for consultation in the Special Collections Reading room. It is advisable to order items in advance to ensure they are collected from store in time for your arrival.
Reproductions
As many of these journals are fragile, it is not possible to photocopy from them, but researchers are welcome to use the digital copier available in Special Collections s to take images of the material. Normal copyright rules for published material apply and a fee for us of the digital copier will be made.
