About this session
If you are a neurodivergent student or graduate, navigating the recruitment process may feel daunting. This session will look at the barriers you face, and provide solutions to overcome them. Our disability partner EmployAbility will cover topics such as imposter syndrome, fear of discrimination, information about inclusive employers, your legal rights, and examples of adjustments to help you demonstrate your skills and competencies. It will be a safe space to learn, and get answers to questions you may have.We very much hope you’ll be able to join.
You do not need a diagnosis to attend this session, if you feel you are affected, then please come along to this session designed to provide practical advice and guidance to empower you to succeed in your job applications
About EmployAbility
The University has partnered with EmployAbility to provide students with disabilities and long-term health conditions with individualised advice and support about adjustments for recruitment and the workplace, information about your rights, and support you with your applications.
The EmployAbility team will also advocate for you with an employer to ensure you receive the adjustments you need, taking any stress and anxiety out of the process.
EmployAbility has been supporting students/ graduates with disabilities for 15 years and can provide expert advice and guidance on any questions relating to disability inclusion in the recruitment process and workplace.
